Junior Halal & Quality Assurance Executive

Position: Junior Halal & Quality Assurance Executive

Big Boss HSP is expanding, and we’re looking for a passionate, organised, and hands‑on Junior Halal & Quality Assurance Executive to support our growing central kitchen and outlet operations. This role is essential in ensuring that every product we serve meets the highest halal integrity, food safety, and quality standards—from production to customer delivery.

As part of our operations team, you will work closely with our Central Kitchen Management, Outlet Supervisors, and Senior QA personnel to uphold compliance, maintain proper documentation, and actively support continuous improvements in our kitchen SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1) Halal Compliance & Documentation
    • Assist in maintaining and updating all halal‑related documents, records, and audit materials.
    • Ensure daily operations adhere to JAKIM halal requirements and internal halal SOPs.
    • Conduct routine halal checks—including ingredient verification, supplier compliance, storage standards, utensil segregation, and cleanliness.
    • Support management in preparation for halal audits and renewals.
    • Ensure all halal signage, labelling, and process flows are correctly implemented in both the central kitchen and outlets.
  • 2) Quality Assurance & Food Safety
    • Conduct regular inspections at the central kitchen and outlets to ensure compliance with internal SOPs, food handling guidelines, hygiene standards, and temperature controls.
    • Identify non‑compliance issues and follow up with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
    • Assist in monitoring raw materials, in‑process checks, finished product quality, and packaging standards.
    • Support the implementation and improvement of quality‑related SOPs, checklists, and training materials.
  • 3) Operational Support
    • Assist central kitchen production when needed to better understand processes and ensure SOP alignment.
    • Work closely with the Central Kitchen Team to ensure smooth daily operations and traceability.
    • Perform occasional site visits to outlets to verify SOP compliance and support operational improvements.
    • Participate in staff training sessions on halal requirements and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of halal practices, halal applications, or halal assurance systems.
  • Halal Executive Certificate is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Some experience in F&B, food production, or a central kitchen environment is a plus.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, responsible, and proactive.
  • Able to perform physical, on‑ground tasks and work closely with kitchen staff.
  • Willing to support central kitchen production when required.
  • Must possess own transport and be willing to travel to different outlets occasionally.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work with multiple departments, and willing to learn.
