Job description

We are representing our client who is in the steel manufacturing industry. As part of our client's ongoing ERP system implementation, they are seeking a Junior Finance Executive to join the team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, record, and process daily financial transactions, including journal entries, fund transfers, and payments.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow and fund movements.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and financial schedules, including trade, investment, and expense schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and banks.
  • Assist in preparing audit and tax documentation and statutory submissions.
  • Support the implementation and testing of accounting systems and process improvements.
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments and support finance-related projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience required.
  • Familiar with e-invoicing.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles (e.g., MFRS, IFRS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL-based systems).
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6pm
