A healthcare-focused financial services provider in Malaysia is looking for an aspiring finance professional to support financial operations in a fully remote role. You will verify payments, assist with month-end reporting, and drive process improvements. Ideal candidates have a degree in Finance or related fields and strong Excel skills. This position offers a pathway to senior roles, fostering both career growth and impactful work that contributes to better health outcomes for patients.
Remote - Full Time - Pathway to Senior Roles
We are looking for an aspiring finance professional who wants more than just data entry. We need someone who enjoys the logic of reconciliation, has an eye for detail, and wants to build a career in healthcare. While not a requirement, it would be a huge plus if you have the technical capability to automate workflows (using Power Automate, Office Scripts, VBA, or Python)
This is a fully remote role where your work will directly support our doctors and clinics. By keeping our finances healthy, you help us focus on what matters most: improving health outcomes for our patients.
If you are looking for a role where you can learn, improve processes, and grow into a senior position, we’d love to meet you.
You will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring our doctors are paid accurately and our accounts are audit-ready.
Managing Doctor Disbursements: You will verify actual receipts against reporting, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile General Practitioner (GP) accounts to ensure every cent is accounted for.
Supporting Our Doctors: You will be the friendly "go-to" person for our GPs, answering their questions regarding payments and statements promptly.
Credit Control: You will liaise with third‑party insurers and corporate entities to follow up on overdue invoices, ensuring steady cash flow.
Month‑End Reporting: You will assist in producing monthly management reports. This includes handling journal adjustments (accruals, prepayments) and tidying up account codes across different entities to make consolidation easier.
Workflow Automation: You will actively look for ways to reduce manual data entry. We want you to help us build automation scripts, integrate AI agent or leverage advanced Excel features to improve our reporting cycles.
Process Improvement: You will help us get better. You will document our existing financial workflows, audit them, and suggest practical ways to make them faster and simpler.
Ad‑Hoc Projects: Supporting the finance team with other administrative and financial tasks as required.
Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Data Science or a related field (or currently pursuing professional qualifications like CIMA/ACCA/CPA).
Technical Skills: You are an Excel power user—XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Power Pivot are your friends. You have a solid understanding of accounting principles (double‑entry, accruals, prepayments).
Automation Experience (Bonus): Ideally, you have experience with (or basic skills) automation via Power Automate, VBA, Office Scripts, or Python.
Communication: You are confident communicating with doctors and external insurers professionally and politely.
Mindset: You are organized, curious, proactive, and always looking for continuous improvement. If you see a process that is slow or manual, your instinct is to fix or automate it.
Work from Anywhere: This is a 100% fully remote position.
Meaningful Work: Your efforts help our clinics operate efficiently, directly contributing to improving health outcomes for patients.
Career Growth: We believe in promoting from within. This role is designed as a stepping stone, with a clear pathway to move into more senior finance responsibilities as you master the basics.
