Summary

The Junior Accountant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Finance and plays a key role in supporting all hotel accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general cashier, income audit, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and post journal entries.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Support income audit and cost audit functions, and assist with inventory spot checks.
  • Contribute to monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytical reviews of significant account balances.
  • Assist in preparation of month‑end closing procedures and reports.
  • Review expense claims and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Handle inquiries from guests, clients, vendors, and external auditors.
  • Perform ad‑hoc tasks and projects as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
  • Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian citizens and permanent residents of Malaysia.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience, hotel accounting preferred.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, agile with change.
