Job summary

A global manufacturing group is seeking a Purchaser to support sourcing, procurement, and supplier coordination at its Johor Bahru facility. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in manufacturing. Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of purchasing or sourcing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Able to manage urgent requests and follow up independently.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders for materials, parts, and services.
• Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions.
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues with vendors.
• Work closely with planning, production, and engineering teams.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
• Assist in cost control, vendor evaluation, and system updates.
