Job summary

A leading automotive parts manufacturer based in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Jig, Tooling & Mould Engineer to design and optimize tools for production. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and have over four years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD software and a strong analytical mindset are essential. Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience in jig, fixture, mould, or tooling design/manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with machining, fabrication, moulding processes, or precision tooling is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize jigs, fixtures, moulds, and tooling.
  • Conduct tooling feasibility studies and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Collaborate with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams.

Skills

Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

Improve tooling performance to enhance production efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Prepare and maintain technical drawings, tooling specifications, SOPs, and work instructions.
制作及维护技术图纸、工装规格、标准作业程序及工作指导书。

Conduct tooling feasibility studies, troubleshoot tooling-related issues, and provide corrective actions.
进行工装可行性分析,排查问题并提供改进方案。

Collaborate with Production, QA, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth tooling implementation and problem resolution.
与生产、品质及维修团队合作,确保工装顺利应用及问题解决。

Lead improvement projects related to tooling lifecycle, tooling cost reduction, and manufacturing optimization.
领导工装生命周期、成本降低及制造优化相关的改进项目。

Perform tooling validation, preventive maintenance planning, and continuous improvement.

Support new product introduction (NPI) by designing required jigs, fixtures, and tooling.

Job Requirements / 任职要求
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
    机械、制造或工业工程学士学位(或相关专业)or 或者 Minimum 4 years relevant experience in jig, fixture, mould, or tooling design/manufacturing.
    至少4年夹具、模具或工装设计/制造相关工作经验。

  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
    熟练使用CAD软件(AutoCAD、SolidWorks)及Microsoft Office。

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    具备扎实的技术分析及解决问题能力。

  • Hands‑on experience with machining, fabrication, moulding processes, or precision tooling (added advantage).
    具备机械加工、制造、模具或精密工装操作经验者优先。

  • Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
    能独立工作并有效与跨部门团队协作。

  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
    具备良好的英语及马来语沟通能力(会中文者优先)。
