Job summary

A local leasing company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Japanese Interpreter/Translator to facilitate communication between native Japanese speakers and local Malaysians. Responsibilities include providing verbal interpretation in meetings, translating various documents, and offering written translation services. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree and be fluent in Japanese, Bahasa Malaysia, and English. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, along with experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
• Fluent in Japanese with business level proficiency.
• Experience as a Japanese interpreter/translator is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide business level verbal interpretation between Japanese and local languages.
• Translate various business documents from Japanese to local languages.
• Accompany native Japanese speakers to meetings for interpretation.

Job description

What you’ll do:

To provide business level verbal interpretation in real time smoothly and swiftly from Japanese to (English / Malaysia / Mandarin / Tamil) vice versa between native Japanese speakers and local Malaysians / foreigners

To provide business level written translation of various documents. Example: agreements, manuals, proposals, training module materials etc

To accompany native Japanese as and when required to attend internal and / or external meetings. Interpretation will generally involve communication between local employees, customers, dealers, Malaysian government ministry officials etc

To perform ad-hoc duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.

Required Language(s): Fluent Japanese (JLPT N1 or equivalent business level spoken and written proficiency), Fluent Bahasa Malaysia & English

Experienced candidates who have worked as Japanese interpreter / translator are welcomed

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
