Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic IT Project Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering software deployment projects by coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

The incumbent will report to the Regional Program Manager. The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Plan, execute, and manage software deployment projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Create comprehensive project plans, detailing tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and interdependencies.
  • Allocate resources efficiently, assign responsibilities, and monitor task completion to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early; develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead regular project status meetings and provide clear, consistent updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to Group PMO governance; recommend process improvements where necessary.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project performance and capture lessons learned for future projects.
  • Manage system cutover activities which include readiness assessment, pre and post cutover activities, provide on-site and / or remote support and usage monitoring.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) is highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in managing software deployment projects is essential
  • Good communication and negotiation skills with people from all levels and across different cultures
  • Analytical and possess good problem solving skills, with solid business, commercial and IT sense
  • Experienced in conducting workshops, user training and managing business process changes
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to apply them effectively based on project needs
  • Candidate with fundamental database hands-on experience will be an added advantage
