Job summary

A leading project management firm in Malaysia is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead IT projects in the Asia Oceania Region. The ideal candidate will have over four years of project management experience, preferably in the banking or finance industry, and be proficient in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies. Strong skills in data analysis and communication are essential, along with familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence. This role offers an opportunity for a proactive individual willing to collaborate closely with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in banking or finance.
  • Experience with application management and cloud services (AWS, Azure).
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Job description

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing IT projects arising in *Client*AOR (Asia Oceania Region). This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managingproject timelines, and ensuring that project goals align withProject Management

Define project objectives, scopes and timeline to support stakeholders to define business cases, anddevelop detailed plans for the project execution

Identify stakeholders that could support projects with securing resources, assembling project workinggroup members and clarifying roles to facilitate collaboration

Lead ongoing and planned projects for SF AOR and markets, ensuring and controlling timelines,budgets, and project scopes as well as deliverable product s quality while regularly reporting progressand issues to the functional manager and key stakeholders.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across different markets to identify project issues, define processflows, analyze system impacts, and evaluate technical risks, supported by thorough documentation

Project Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

Budget Management: Estimate project costs and ensure the project stays within budget

Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and incorporatefeedback to adjust the project as needed

Job Requirement:
4 years or more of project management experience, preferred in the banking or financial industry

Experience in application management is preferred with strong data analysis (plus points with inframanagement of cloud services experience (AWS, Azure))

Strong project management skills with a good understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfallmethodologies, along with proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Job Competency

Fluent level of English with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders (Plus pointto Mandarin speaking)

Strong sense of responsibility and a cooperative attitude working closely with business teams

Positive, self-driven mindset with a proactive approach to learning *client* businessand systems

Knowledge of financial industry area with an experience of IT project management

Strong organizational skills of multiple projects with a structured way of thinking
