As an IT Executive at SIK CHEONG EDIBLE OIL SDN BHD, you will play a vital role in supporting the company's information technology infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of its systems. This full-time position is based in Selangor and will involve a wide range of IT support and maintenance duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Software & System Support
Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, workstations, network devices, and peripherals.
Administer email accounts, user access rights, and software licenses in compliance with company policies.
Manage IT inventory, procurement, and asset tracking.
Support ERP and inventory systems for oil stock, packaging, and distribution.
Assist in IT projects, upgrades, and system integrations.
Ensure data backup, antivirus protection, and basic cybersecurity practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
2. Network & Connectivity
Troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired network issues across office, warehouse, and production floors.
Ensure stable network connections for inventory scanning devices and production lines.
Assist with VPN, shared folders, cloud access, and remote support tools.
Monitor network hardware and report recurring issues to the superior/ HOD.
3. Production & Logistics Support
Support IT systems connected to packaging machines and automated production equipment.
Ensure smooth data flow between production, quality control, and warehouse systems.
Assist in maintaining digital records such as batch numbers, production logs, and distribution reports.
Support devices used by drivers, dispatch, and warehouse teams.
4. User Support & Helpdesk
Provide technical assistance for email, software, access permissions, and authentication issues.
Deliver basic training on IT tools and cybersecurity best practices.
5. Maintenance & Facility Support
Maintain records of all equipment, warranties, and maintenance logs.
Monitor utility consumption (power, internet, etc.) and report abnormalities.
Support electrical, minor civil work, and technical infrastructure upkeep.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain IT inventory, asset registers, and AMC contracts.
Prepare daily/ weekly reports on system uptime, maintenance status, and technical support issues.
Ensure compliance with Company policies and IT security protocols.
7. Regulatory Compliance
Comply with all safety standards, including ISO 22000:2018 (Food Safety Management System), MS 1480:2019 (HACCP), and GMP.
Comply with all local regulatory including JAKIM HALAL, OSHA.
Participate in all related training including Food Safety training, GMP training and HALAL Awareness training, OSH to improve job performance and ensuring compliance with industry standard.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Facility Management, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support and maintenance roles.
Strong understanding of network systems, hardware and software applications.
Knowledge of networking concepts (RTCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and technical proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Organizational, management, negotiation and communication skills.
