A technology solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage software, hardware, and networking operations. The role involves performing application maintenance, providing technical support to end-users, and handling IT asset management. Candidates should have a Diploma or Degree in IT or Computer Science and 3-5 years of experience in IT support. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of Windows OS, networking principles, and experience in system troubleshooting.
Manage the company's software, hardware, and networking operating systems.
Perform application maintenance, including installation, configuration, upgrading, troubleshooting, and system monitoring.
Handle end-to-end IT asset management including PC/Laptop/mobile device setup, inventory tracking, delivery, and decommissioning in compliance with company policies.
Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues, while also monitoring and controlling user access, security permissions, and server access in accordance with cybersecurity policies and best practices.
Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, workstations, and IT peripherals.
Ensure proper data backup and system recovery processes are in place.
Assist in the implementation of new IT solutions and infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure IT security protocols are followed and assist in data protection initiatives.
Liaise with vendors and service providers as needed for IT procurement and support.
Carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an IT support or system administration role.
Solid understanding of Windows OS, networking principles, and common business applications.
Experience with system and application installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in asset tracking.
