Job description

Jimat Jaya Sdn. Bhd. is a food processing factory, located at Sungai Petani (Kedah) and Segambut (Kuala Lumpur), a subsidiary of CAB Cakaran Corporation Berhad, a public listed company on Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.

CAB has a long and successful history, starting with its first poultry farming activities in Penang, Malaysia way back in the 1970s. The Company has grown to become one of the largest food producers, value added products in Malaysia, providing poultry, marine and frozen food products around the globe.

Responsibilities

Assists in all IT infrastructures, trouble shooting and rectifying problems of all related matters including hardware, software and applications, ensuring smooth operation and high availability.

Day to day systems administration, management of network traffic, systems security, disaster recovery, systems backup and maintenance.

Support Company's database administration, local area network and internet connection.

To be responsible for the Network system administration, maintenance & backup.

Troubleshooting system and network problems.

Diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving hardware & software issues or faults, and liaise with external IT vendors from time to time.

Setup and maintain servers & PCs.

Provide end-user computing support for PC desktop and business applications.

Assist in user support on business applications.

Maintains and support Company's ERP Systems, knowledge in JD Edwards ERP System would be advantageous.

Liaising with IT vendors on hardware and software maintenance, software licensing.

Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers.

Configuring laptops and desktop systems.

Resolving hardware faults.

Manage email user ID and domain ID creation.

To assist in order and ad-hoc tasks assigned.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Hardware or equivalent.

At least 2 years of working experience in IT or MIS is an added advantage.

Good knowledge of Business IT Systems including ERP, file and application servers, email and web servers, windows operating systems and applications.

Good knowledge of current technological trends in IT industry including LAN, WAN, Internet, Telecommunications, Application Software and Network Security.

Experience in MS Excel and Word intermediate or advance level is required.

Experience in troubleshooting, maintain and support on technical issues is highly desirable (server & computer).

Experience with application system, ERP system would be an added advantage.

Hands-on experience in solving personal computer, network and peripherals problem.

Preferably candidate with programming knowledge.

Strong experience in supporting Windows, MS Office, and Outlook is a must.

Experience in exchange server, Windows server, troubleshoot computer, and maintain computer network.

Highly adaptive, able to multi-task and flexible in progressive workloads.

Good communication skills (written and oral) in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

Possess own transport and willing to travel to support other subsidiaries if necessary.
