Overview
Lead the implementation of IT and automation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Manage the installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of software and hardware systems in a manufacturing environment. Oversee machine integration and Recipe Management System (RMS), ensuring reliable communication between machines and IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise system enhancement initiatives, including development, testing (functional, integration, regression), and deployment of new features.
- Provide guidance and support to the IT/Automation team, and act as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, procedures, and user manuals to ensure knowledge transfer and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Production, IT) and external vendors to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Monitor system performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and recommend technology upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Requirements (from first section)
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, system integration, or automation within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software development, and automation technologies, including Windows/Linux environments.
- Experience with programming languages (C#, Java, VB.NET) and database management (SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
- Proven ability to manage teams, projects, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese language is preferred and an added advantage.
Job Requirements (from second section)
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 1–3 years of working experience in IT support, system integration, or automation within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid IT fundamentals, with familiarity in Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Experience in at least one programming language (preferably C#, Java, or VB.NET), and basic understanding of system architecture.
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good communication, and ability to understand user requirements.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese language is preferred and an added advantage.
