Job summary

A prominent banking institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced professional for the IT Application Services role. You will be responsible for delivering business projects related to system planning, procurement, and implementation while coordinating with vendors and stakeholders. Critical areas include project risk management, requirement analysis, and conducting system testing. Candidates should have at least 5 years of IT application project management experience and knowledge of banking applications, particularly SAP systems.

Job description
IT Application Services (Finance & Treasury)

To deliver business projects system planning, system procurement, development and project implementation at agreed cost, scope and timeline.

To manage & coordinate enhancements and initiatives working with internal and external parties, including managing vendor, business user, IT stakeholder and etc.

Have an eye for detail and risks and enable proactive identification, communication, escalation and management of project risks as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis - ensure completeness of the business & system requirements.

Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT).

Review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test script.

Implementation - manage and control changes to the application objects to ensure system integrity.

Ensure compliance with internal control and standards and also to comply with regulatory requirements.

Ensure SDLC documentation for new systems/enhancement is in order as per GIS guideline and procedure.

Execute corrective & remediation measures with the relevant parties relating to audit findings, ensuring actions are taken within deadline.

Manage projects on a daily basis including tracking of timeline, monitor project status, issues, risks and change request to ensure the projects meet its goals and intended scope.

Knowledge:

Good working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle.

Knowledge of banking applications or other related retail banking applications.

Application knowledge or experience working with SAP ECC (FICO & MM modules), SAP BW, SAP BOE, Reconciliation, Custodial Nominees System and GL Web Reporting systems are an added advantage.

Project managed the implementation of banking or related financial application systems.

Hands on experience in the management and systems support of banking applications.

Min 5 years of experience in project managing in the implementation of IT application systems.
