Role Description

January Capital has a growing investor relations team whose primary responsibility is to attract new capital to the firm's different investment strategies, as well as cultivate and service existing clients of the firm. The team comprises of three front-office professionals today and this team will continue to grow over the coming 12 months. As an Investor Relations Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the investor relations team administratively and providing strategic support.

Role Responsibilities
  • Shadow and provide day-to-day support to the Head of Investor Relations, including scheduling all meetings and calls
  • Work with the firm's Head of Investor Relations to run and coordinate a fundraising meeting on a weekly basis
  • Assist on travel management and be readily available during travel periods to effectively travel enquiries
  • Use desktop research and IR specific software tools to research and screen investors, identify potential targets, and create campaign lists for outreach
  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM to record all interactions with clients, record meeting notes
  • Attend and listen in on client (both prospective and existing) investor calls to record notes and identify follow-up action items
  • Primary ownership of the firm's mailing database and build capability to draft and coordinate investor email communications (i.e., newsletters and invitations to upcoming events)
  • Assist in the updating of IR PowerPoint presentations, data room materials, and other activities on an ad-hoc basis
  • Oversee the firm's investor relations email inbox to deal with front-line enquiries
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks from an investor onboarding perspective (working with the firm's Head of Legal and Head of Compliance to assist with documentation population and collection of KYC/AML materials)
  • Be primarily responsible for file management and document filing
Role Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with 2-4+ years of professional working experience
  • Experience working in a financial services firm (ideally within investor relations or front-office teams in the funds management industry)
  • Excellent planning, project management and organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint at a minimum and Excel is a plus) with familiarity in CRM systems (we use Affinity but any is fine), email marketing systems (we use Mailchimp)
  • Exceptional written and oral understanding of English. Ability to coordinate across multiple time zones without issue
  • Client-service minded with a "can do attitude" and someone who has a "solutions oriented" mindset with a sense of urgency
