JOB PURPOSE

The IT Manager is responsible for driving the company’s digital transformation agenda, while ensuring stable IT operations, strong security posture, and regulatory compliance across all business units. This role balances strategy and execution by translating business goals into scalable technology solutions, ensuring operational continuity, and protecting the organisation from IT and cyber risks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS

• Develop and execute a practical IT and digital transformation roadmap aligned with business growth, operational efficiency, and cost optimisation.
• Act as business partner to Management, identifying opportunities to automate, integrate, and digitalise processes across retail, distribution, and corporate functions.
• Own and optimise enterprise platforms including NetSuite ERP, Microsoft 365, eCommerce platforms, and system integrations.
• Lead system enhancements, upgrades, and implementation projects from requirements gathering to rollout and post-implementation review.
• Drive data visibility and reporting improvements to support management decision-making.
• Evaluate ROI and business impact of new technologies, infrastructure upgrades, and digital initiatives.
• Own and manage the IT budget, licensing, renewals, and vendor contracts.

2. IT Operations & Support Excellence

• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all IT systems including ERP, networks, servers, cloud platforms, POS, and websites.
• Lead day-to-day IT operations and service delivery for HQ, warehouse, and retail stores.
• Establish and monitor IT service standards, SLAs, and KPIs for incident response, resolution time, and user satisfaction.
• Oversee troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and escalation management for system and infrastructure issues.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems, integrations, and management reports.
• Maintain IT housekeeping practices including data archival, retention, system clean-up, and documentation.
• Manage and coordinate in-house and outsourced IT vendors, system integrators, developers, and service providers.
• Ensure smooth deployment of system updates, patches, and new solutions with minimal business disruption.
• Define, implement, and enforce IT security policies, standards, and controls across the organisation.
• Strengthen cybersecurity posture including access control, endpoint security, network security, and data protection.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards expected of a listed company.
• Develop, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Identify IT risks and vulnerabilities, implement mitigation measures, and report key risks to Management.
• Ensure secure handling of data, user access rights, and system privileges across all platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, business administration, or a related field with technology as a core component AND minimum five years experience in Data Processing, System Analysis Design, and Operations with strategic planning experience in a commercial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• Previous experience with ticketing, merchandise, and Point-Of-Sale systems a plus.
• Retail, Distribution and eCommerce experience a plus.
• Strong experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and cloud-based environments.
• Having managed a IT team of hardware and software personnel or vendors a plus.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
