A global technology company in Penang seeks Industrial Trainees for the Industrial Engineering and Lean Function. This internship provides hands-on experience in process confirmation, data collection, waste studies, and Continuous Improvement Process projects. Ideal candidates are ongoing university students pursuing degrees related to Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential. The internship lasts 4 to 6 months, from January to June.

Our plant here in Penang develops and manufactures products such as car radios, integrated head units, central displays and navigation systems as well as electronic components and actuator motors for OEMs worldwide. Incorporated with 100 percent German ownership, we are one of the eight pioneering companies which started operation in the Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone back in 1972.

• Intern
• Process confirmation & data collection for Standard worksheet
• Preliminary comparison of actual time study, data collection analysis vs. Standard Time defined.
• Data collection and preliminary analysis for New model with plan process flow
• Waste study & analysis, Ergonomic study for human to machine.
• Lean topic include System Continues Improvement Process (CIP) project preparation, waste walk, workshop set up, VSM/VSD drafting
• Lean topic on Planning Guideline Line (PGL) workshop preparation support, Layout update and project follow up and drawing update.

Qualifications and Other Requirements

• Degree Study in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; on-going university students are encourage to apply.
• Able to communicate well and active.
• Internship within 4 - 6 months.
• Internship Duration from Jan 22 - June 22.
