Job summary

A leading travel company is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for their Kuala Lumpur office. The role involves delivering high-quality HR services including talent acquisition, managing payroll, and leading the HR strategy in alignment with business needs. Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience, preferably in sizable organizations, and proficiency in English, Mandarin, and Malay. This position is open only to Malaysian citizens or permanent residents.

Job description

Reporting to the Regional Head of HR, you will act as a change agent and employee champion. Providing all rounded HR functions supporting our Kuala Lumpur office, you will initiate and implement ideas that are in line with current and future business strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high quality્યો HR services including talent acquisition, rewards strategy, talent development, engagement & relations, and regional projects.
  • Responsible for day-to-day C&B operations including payroll, taxation and employee benefits and in compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Ensure payroll processing and staff benefits are timely and accurately calculated.
  • Lead, coach and provide innovative people solutions addressing business issues.
  • Work closely with business leaders to steer HR strategy and implementation.
  • Partner with regional HR on HR initiative and regional projects – from organization structure review, manpower planning, employee engagement to improving HR operational effectiveness.
  • Review and manage HR processes to meet the diverse business needs in a dynamic operating environment.
  • Provide insights and key HR data to business leaders.
  • Any HR & Admin related projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Degree graduate or above in HR aconse discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years HRBP, HR management or HR Generalist experience, ideally gained in sizable organizations; regional exposure is preferred.
  • Practical talent acquisition experience is a must.
  • Experience in developing and leveraging HR metrics to guide HR effectiveness.
  • Agile and fast-paced who can be both strategic and hands-on.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build a strong and sustainable relationship with business leaders.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Malay.
  • Malaysian citizen or permanent residents only.
