Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function for ARNet Malaysia, aligning local practices with Group HR strategies. This position will serve as the primary HR leader for the Malaysia office, ensuring implementation of HR policies and driving employee‑related initiatives. The role works collaboratively with Group HR to support organizational goals across performance, talent, culture, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR Leadership for Malaysia Entity
  • Act as the Head of HR for ARNet Malaysia, leading HR operations and ensuring effective HR service delivery.
  • Champion HR best practices to support employee engagement, retention, and organizational growth.
  • Serve as a primary HR contact for Malaysia workforce matters, escalating when required to Group HR.
2. Performance & Talent Management
  • Facilitate performance review cycles, goal‑setting, and evaluation processes in alignment with Group framework.
  • Support talent identification, succession planning, and career growth initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to assess workforce capability needs and development opportunities.
  • Drive L&D programs at Malaysia level, coordinating training plans and skill enhancement initiatives.
  • Track learning activities, participation, feedback, and report outcomes to Group HR.
  • Recommend developmental programs to support career progression and team capability building.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Handle employee relations matters professionally including counselling, conflict management, and disciplinary processes.
  • Conduct HR touchpoints, feedback sessions and engagement‑driven programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws and internal conduct standards.
5. Payroll & HR Operations
  • Oversee payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance.
  • Review monthly payroll inputs prepared by HR & Admin Executive before final submission.
  • Maintain updated employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
6. Benefits Administration & Administration Support
  • Guide and supervise the HR & Administration Executive on benefits administration and general administrative tasks.
  • Review internal processes for efficiency and propose improvements where needed.
  • Support office administration matters related to facilities, claims, and employee support services.
7. Group Policy, Systems & Process Implementation
  • Work closely with Group HR to implement new HR policies, systems, or platform rollouts in Malaysia.
  • Ensure local adoption of HR processes such as performance management, HRIS updates, and compliance workflows.
  • Provide feedback to Group HR for improvement of frameworks and local adaptation where necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of HR generalist experience, with exposure to end‑to‑end HR operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading HR functions or operating independently in a managerial capacity is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, structured, and able to balance strategic and hands‑on work.
  • Basic conversational Mandarin speaking required to engage with stakeholders from China.
