Overview
Mission: To lead and strengthen the company’s human resource function by building effective people strategies, ensuring compliance, and fostering a high-performance, positive workplace culture that supports business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end HR function aligned with company goals and growth plans.
- Partner with management on workforce planning, organizational structure, and talent needs.
- Provide professional HR advice on employee relations, performance management, and people matters.
Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle
- Oversee recruitment strategy, interview processes, and hiring decisions.
- Manage onboarding, confirmation, performance evaluation, and exit processes.
- Ensure consistent and professional employee experience throughout the lifecycle.
Performance Management & Employee Relations
- Design and manage performance management frameworks, KPIs, and appraisal cycles.
- Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Support managers in coaching, performance improvement, and people development.
HR Policies, Compliance & Governance
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and manage HR documentation for audits and regulatory checks.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee records.
Culture, Engagement & Talent Development
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communications, and wellness programs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.
HR Reporting & Systems
- Maintain accurate HR data and dashboards using HR systems (e.g. AirTable).
- Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports for management.
- Track key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, absenteeism, and performance trends.
Operational Cadence
- Work from office daily.
- Participate in management and people review meetings.
- Ensure HR systems and processes are consistently followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- Professional HR certification (e.g. CHRM, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- At least 1–2 years in a senior HR / HR lead / HR manager capacity
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and Malaysian employment law
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-management skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Organized, analytical, and systems-driven
- Comfortable operating independently in a growing organization
