A local manufacturing firm in Ipoh is seeking a HR Officer to manage and recruit foreign workers. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Malaysian regulations, maintaining necessary documentation, and addressing foreign worker welfare. GALLANT INDUSTRIES (M) SDN. BHD. – Lahat, Perak
Responsible for managing and recruiting foreign workers in compliance with Malaysian regulations and guidelines.
Coordinate with foreign worker agencies to ensure a smooth hiring process.
Maintain up-to-date records of work permits, visas, and other required documentation.
Act as the primary point of contact with government authorities (Immigration, Ministry of Human Resources, Labour Department) for work permits and compliance.
Ensure the timely submission of necessary reports and documents to government agencies.
Assist foreign workers with employment-related matters and provide support for their welfare (FOMEMA, air travel arrangements, etc.).
Ensure hostel accommodation meets safety, cleanliness, and comfort standards in line with Act 446.
Address any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
Manage room allocations, monitor occupancy, and maintain records of hostel usage.
Ensure adherence to local safety and health regulations for foreign worker housing.
Work closely with department leaders to resolve day-to-day HR operational issues.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Liaise with government agencies (JTK, KDN, KSM, JIM) to ensure legal compliance.
Coordinate and track employee training programs and HRDF claims.
Assist in preparing company Health and Safety documents (JKKP).
