Roles & responsibilities
- Responsible for Wholesale/TA Room & Event Sales Segment for the hotel.
- Clear understanding of the hotel's business strategies, set goals, and determine action plans to meet those goals.
- Update action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
- Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
- Represent hotels in various events and exhibitions.
- Promptly qualify all sales leads. Respond within 24 hours to all inquiries, leads and correspondence from prospects, customers and referrals.
- Plan calls effectively, maintain existing accounts while focusing on new accounts to increase the overall customer base.
- Adequately service all accounts as assigned by the DOS/ADOS. Sales calls required by the Sales Manager are a minimum of 25 per week.
- Increase sales to meet or exceed all established sales goals as outlined in the marketing plan.
- Follow up and carry out all established office policies and procedures. Properly maintain all files and accounts to established guidelines (follow up system).
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with hotel guidelines.
- React promptly to requests by the DOS/ADOS for reports and other assignments by their due dates.
- Attend business-related functions within areas of responsibility.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
- Support the hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Develop strong relationships with on-property front office teams to ensure unity and shared goals.
Skills & experience
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of sales and proven ability to plan and execute sales targets with attention to detail.
- Minimum 2 - 5 years experience in hospitality with a proven sales track record.
- Must be able to speak Mandarin as will be dealing with Chinese-speaking country representatives.
- Capable of creating and implementing sales strategies to achieve goals and targets.
- Able to handle both rooms and catering functions.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Own transportation.
- Knowledge of current hospitality industry trends.
