Job summary

A leading machinery sales company in Kuantan is seeking a Business Development Sales professional to enhance their sales team. The ideal candidate will identify new opportunities in heavy machinery across various sectors, maintain customer relations, and promote products effectively. A diploma or degree in Business or Engineering is preferred, but fresh graduates or those with some experience are welcome. This role requires strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and a willingness to travel when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development
  • Identify new business opportunities through cold calls, visits, and referrals.
  • Promote relevant products (e.g., excavators, loaders & lockers).
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and follow through on the sales cycle.
Customer Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Understand client requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
  • Offer after-sales support and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date on product specifications, features, and updates.
  • Monitor market activity and competitor products to stay ahead.
  • Collaborate with principals and internal teams for product promotions.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in heavy/light machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing, coordination, and delivery.
  • Liaise with technical, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support marketing campaigns and participate in sales meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive, or related fields.
  • Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years of experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of heavy machinery products and applications is added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about machinery or automotive sales.
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office); knowledge of ERP/CRM is an advantage.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel as needed.
