We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head, Transaction Banking – Government & GLC Sales & Service (Circle Lead) to lead the TB4–Government & GLCs business within Group Transaction Banking. In this role, you will oversee Islamic non-retail deposits, drive strategic business growth, and enhance product profitability across Government and GLC customer segments. You will provide leadership in relationship management, business planning, product development, and trade finance growth while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the Group’s aspirations and objectives.
Lead and manage the TB4–Govt & GLCs business, overseeing Islamic non-retail deposits and ensuring alignment with the Group’s goals
Strategize overall business direction for markets, new and existing products, ensuring strong alignment with Group ambitions
Build and maintain strong relationships with Government and GLC clients to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term profitability
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and service excellence through effective relationship management and service level oversight
Develop marketing and communication strategies to meet business targets and support business growth
Identify market opportunities to generate new sources of deposits, income, and trade finance growth
Strategize business plans to drive trade finance performance specifically for Government and GLC segments
Monitor Trade Finance business for RHB Islamic Bank to ensure consistent growth in income, volume, and facility utilization
Collaborate with Client Coverage, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, and Business Banking/SME to expand customer base and deepen wallet share
Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners, including Shariah, product development, policy, and other key departments
Provide strategic advice and support to MD Shariah Based and Head GTB to achieve Group objectives
Build market intelligence on products and clients to capitalize on business opportunities and mitigate risks
Oversee business planning and budgeting for deposit management portfolio
Keep abreast of global trends and developments in international trade to support strategic decision-making
Research, design, and develop innovative products that meet evolving customer needs
Support new product development to deliver competitive, customized solutions to both existing and new clients
Ensure product pricing achieves returns above the Group’s required rate
Lead product marketing, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
Understand customer requirements and market trends to shape product direction
Drive the P&L for the TB4–Govt & GLCs business, ensuring sustainable financial performance and growth
Strong leadership experience in Transaction Banking, Government/GLC relationship management, or related corporate banking functions
Proven ability in strategic planning, business development, and product management
Deep understanding of trade finance, deposit management, and Islamic banking principles
Strong market awareness and ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business lines
Analytical, proactive, and driven, with a passion for customer-centric banking solutions
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, Shariah guidelines, and capital market dynamics
