Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to ensure compliance with safety regulations and client specifications. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health and possess at least 10 years of EHS management experience, preferably in construction or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of local regulations is essential. This role involves planning and coordinating training, managing incidents, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in construction, industrial, or data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations (DOSH, DOE, Fire Department, relevant Acts & Codes of Practice).
  • Additional certifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, or Emergency Response are advantageous.

Conduct risk assessments, environmental impact assessments, and job hazard analyses for all relevant activities.

Manage incidents, near misses, and emergency response procedures, including investigations and reporting.

Plan and coordinate EHS training, audits, inspections, and monitoring activities.

Prepare and present EHS reports for management, clients, and regulatory authorities as required.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions to enhance EHS performance.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in construction, industrial, or data centre projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local regulations (DOSH, DOE, Fire Department, relevant Acts & Codes of Practice).
