The Head of Terminal is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, efficiency, safety, and service quality of the Bus Terminal and Taxi Queue Management System. This role focuses on the terminal operations and passenger flow, ensuring smooth coordination between taxi services, terminal facilities, system providers, and stakeholders.
This role does not manage bus operations or bus services.
Key Responsibilities

Terminal & Taxi Queue Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Bus Terminal and Taxi Queue Management System.
- Ensure orderly taxi queuing, dispatch, and passenger pick-up/drop-off processes.
- Monitor terminal traffic flow, congestion, and peak‑hour operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Ensure terminal operations comply with regulatory, safety, and service standards.

System & Process Oversight
- Ensure all systems operate effectively, including ticketing, displays, barriers, and system interfaces.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for system performance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Review operational data, reports, and system analytics to improve passenger experience and operational efficiency.
- Liaise with government/non‑government associations, terminal management, local authorities, enforcement agencies, and vendors.
- Handle escalations related to terminal operations, taxi disputes, or service complaints.
- Represent terminal operations in meetings with regulators and external stakeholders.

People & Facility Management
- Lead and supervise terminal operations staff, supervisors, and outsourced service providers.
- Ensure terminal facilities (signage, waiting areas, queuing lanes, safety equipment) are well maintained.
- Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuous improvement initiatives.

Safety, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular operational audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and performance updates for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Transport Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in terminal operations, transport operations, facilities management, or infrastructure operations.
- Strong understanding of passenger flow, queue management systems, and public‑facing operations.
- Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with local authorities or regulatory bodies is an advantage.
