The Head of Sales is a dedicated sales leadership role, responsible for leading high-performing sales teams that drive enrolment growth and an exceptional student experience across our education portfolio.
This position leads the student Sales (Education Counsellor) function within Keypath Malaysia (SE Asia), ensuring the team operates cohesively to meet and exceed enrolment targets, while fostering a service-first culture that supports students from enquiry through to enrolment. We are seeking a proven sales leader who thrives in performance-driven environments and is equally comfortable in the detail and at the strategic level.
You will bring an unwavering commitment and demonstrated experience in building a values-led, high-performance culture, with a strong focus on team transformation, operational excellence, and commercial outcomes. Your leadership will be key to embedding sales best practice, accelerating innovation, and driving the evolution of our student-facing functions in a digital-first, remote operating model.
This role suits someone who has led complex, distributed teams— with experience in contact centres, technology, or data-rich industries—and who thrives on empowering teams through clarity, coaching, and collaboration.
Key Accountabilites
Lead, coach, and inspire the Education Counsellor team to achieve and exceed enrolment targets across all university partnerships.
Build a sales-first culture focused on coaching, accountability, and high performance.
Drive sales pipeline management, team capability development, and effective student conversion strategies.
Embed strong team rhythms, performance analytics, and transparent communication.
Manage partner matters including preparing reports for external reporting purposes
Customer Experience and Operational Excellence
Design and optimise the conversion journey, ensuring seamless transitions across Marketing and Admissions.
Champion a culture of service excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Account Management teams to align sales strategies with partner priorities and go-to-market initiatives.
Strategic Contribution and Organisational Influence
Actively shape organisational strategy and transformation by championing the voice of Education Counsellor in cross-functional leadership forums.
Inform enterprise strategy and functional innovation through data-driven insights and forward-looking sales perspectives.
Lead change initiatives and system optimization projects that improve team performance, digital enablement, operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Work closely with Product, Marketing, IT, and Account Management to ensure aligned execution of program launches and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Marketing, Asia to design a marketing calendar and campaigns for each university partner so as to drive sales performance
Data, Reporting & Decision-Making
Use data insights to inform decision-making, improve conversion outcomes, and drive process optimisation.
Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, forecasting student enrolments and identifying risks and opportunities in collaboration with the broader Growth team.
Partner with Finance and Insights to deliver accurate and actionable reporting to internal and partner stakeholders.
Governance & Risk
Ensure compliance with regulatory and partner-specific requirements in all enrolment and student communication practices.
Qualification
Education
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Education, or related field.
Experience
10+ years in senior sales leadership, ideally in tech, data, education, or contact centre-based industries.
Proven success leading target-driven teams in distributed, high-volume environments.
Track record of cultural and performance transformation across complex operational teams.
Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with a deep understanding of sales metrics, pipeline optimisation, and conversion strategies.
Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional alignment and influence at all levels.
Mandarin language skills (spoken & written) are desirable but not essential
Technical
Deep familiarity with CRM & CX systems (Microsoft and Genesys preferred) and sales analytics tools.
Strong understanding of contact centre operations, team metrics, and performance levers.
Experience leveraging data insights to optimise strategy and execution.
Skilled in developing reporting dashboards, forecasting models, and performance review frameworks.
