Job description

Head of Program cum Lecturer, Interior Design

We are looking for Head of Program cum Lecturer specialized in Interior Design so come join us and be part of the team now!

Responsibilities (Head of Program):

Responsible for overall development and improvement in the areas of Student Progression and Experience, Committee Representation, Process and Procedures, Staff Matters, Enrolment Growth as well as other general responsibilities.

Teach, supervise, and provide academic counseling and pastoral care to students.

Develop, review, and update all learning materials in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum.

Handle day to day queries on program matters, resolve students’ complaints, provide academic counselling, and study plan advice etc.

Provide program briefings, and conduct program meetings with the lecturers concerned to discuss / monitor students’ performance.

Coordinate student retention activities and ensure low attrition rate of students.

Participate in curriculum development, revision, and implementation of existing and new programs.

Ensure department compliance with MOHE, accreditation, and college criteria, regulations, and policies.

Participate in marketing activities such as road shows, education fairs, open days, information days and school visits/talks to support new student enrollment.

Requirements:

Candidate MUST possess both Master’s in Interior Design / Interior Architecture, Bachelor of Interior Design / Bachelor of Architecture with Master’s Degree in relevant built environment field or equivalent

Registered with LAM (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia).

Experience with LAM policy and document preparation will be an added advantage

At least 2 - 5 years of teaching experience in diploma and degree program in the relevant field.

Candidate with industrial experience can also be considered.

Candidate with IDr. (Interior Designer) title would be an advantage

Good command of the English language.

Excellent presentation skills.

Strong commitment and passionate in teaching young adults of diverse backgrounds.
