The incumbent will develop international partnerships, support American Degree Transfer Programme (ADTP) student progression, provide academic and career guidance, promote overseas pathways, and enhance global readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Initiate, develop and support international progression pathways for graduates from the ADTP programme, working directly with the Dean.
  • Seek out new partnership opportunities for student progression with the aim of raising the overall level of partnership universities accepting ADTP graduates. This may occasionally involve overseas travel to relevant institutions.
  • Develop and negotiate appropriate agreements with prospective partner institutions to facilitate automatic Student Engagement of ADTP graduates, working closely with the Dean.
  • Support the university’s marketing activities in relation to the ADTP, by promoting the overseas opportunities available to students. This may involve making presentations at recruitment events and open days, drafting of marketing materials, and counselling applicants and their parents.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the School of American Education to help develop, improve, market and promote the ADTP.
  • Engage with students and support them in planning their academic careers and help them make informed choices, become culturally aware and generally prepare themselves for an international educational experience.
  • Advise students who are studying on the ADTP on the requirements of particular majors at overseas universities and help them make appropriate choices of study options.
  • Coordinate the development of cultural events for ADTP students to help them gain familiarity with American and other overseas cultures in order to ease their cultural integration when progressing overseas.
  • Build and maintain relations with ADTP alumni when they progress overseas and develop alumni engagement activities in supporting current ADTP students (e.g. through mentorship activities).
  • Contribute, occasionally, to the teaching of subjects in which you have particular interest and expertise.
  • Guide academic staff on international partner requirements to align curricula and enhance student transfer opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Business, Social Sciences, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree will be an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in international education, student mobility, partnerships, admissions, or academic advising, preferably within higher education.

  • Strong student advisory and counselling skills, with experience guiding students on academic planning and overseas study options.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage students, parents, academic staff, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting marketing and recruitment initiatives, including events, open days, and outreach activities.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Culturally sensitive, student-focused, and able to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional overseas travel as required.
