We are seeking a Head of Finance Operations to establish and lead our global back-office hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role requires a proven leader with expertise in financial services operations, regulatory compliance, and transformation initiatives. You will set the strategic direction, build a high-performing international team, and drive operational excellence across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global back-office operations strategy aligned with business objectives
• Establish and scale Malaysia as a key hub for international operations
• Lead large-scale transformation and process automation initiatives
• Design, implement, and optimize workflows, policies, and procedures with measurable KPIs
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks
• Oversee technology adoption (ERP, workflow automation, RPA, BI dashboards) to improve reporting and efficiency
• Build and manage a team of 3050 FTEs across multiple functions, fostering collaboration and accountability
• Provide mentorship, succession planning, and training to support professional growth
• Monitor performance against KPIs (e.g., processing times, error rates, cost per transaction) and report to senior leadership
• Partner with compliance, technology, and business units to deliver on shared priorities
• Represent the function to external service providers and key clients

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 7+ years in global operations, shared services, or back-office management in financial services
• Proven track record in leading transformation initiatives with regional or global scale (budget > USD 5M, multi-country scope)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, risk management, and operations best practices
• Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate) and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience managing international teams with 20+ members

Nice to Have

• Prior experience setting up or scaling shared service centers in APAC
• Exposure to digital finance transformation, cloud ERP, and data analytics tools
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree
