Overview

The Finance Head will oversee the company’s finance operations, ensuring strong financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness. In addition, this role will support the CEO and department heads by providing performance insights, driving budgeting and forecasting discipline, supporting strategic initiatives, and managing key internal and external stakeholders.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting (Core Finance Ownership)
    • Lead end-to-end finance operations including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and month-end closing.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and performance reports.
    • Maintain accounting accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
    • Manage cashflow planning, working capital, and payment discipline.
    • Establish and strengthen internal controls, approval matrix, and finance policies.
  2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Management Reporting
    • Lead annual budget planning, periodic forecasting, and business performance reviews.
    • Monitor variances and provide clear explanations and corrective actions to stakeholders.
    • Develop KPIs and dashboards covering profitability, cost efficiency, margin, productivity, and cashflow.
    • Support management with scenario planning and sensitivity analysis.
  3. Stakeholder & Business Management
    • Work with key stakeholders across the business (Operations, Sales, Product, IT, HR) to support planning and execution.
    • Translate financial data into clear business insights for non-finance stakeholders.
    • Support commercial negotiations and partner/vendor discussions from a finance perspective.
    • Manage external stakeholders including auditors, tax agents, bankers, regulators, and group finance teams.
  4. Compliance, Audit & Governance
    • Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory reporting requirements. (RPT, RRPT)
    • Manage annual audit process and ensure timely completion with minimal audit findings.
    • Ensure adherence to governance standards and financial control requirements.
    • Identify key risks and recommend mitigation actions.
  5. Strategic & Commercial Finance Support
    • Support business case preparation for new initiatives, investments, partnerships, and product expansion.
    • Conduct financial modelling for pricing, ROI, profitability, and cost-benefit evaluation.
    • Provide industry and market insights to guide leadership decisions.
    • Support long-term planning including expansion strategy and capital planning.
  6. Process Improvement & Digital Enablement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline finance processes and improve efficiency.
    • Enhance automation and reporting through accounting systems and dashboards.
    • Improve data accuracy, reporting structure, and documentation to support scalable growth.
Requirements (Qualification & Experience)
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in finance (audit + commercial finance is an advantage).
  • Strong hands-on knowledge in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. (Group consolidation, RPT/RRPT requirements, e-invoicing, and stamp duty regulations)
  • Experience managing audit, tax, and external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to industries such as insurance, financial services, fintech, or services is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Strong accounting and reporting fundamentals.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling skills.
  • Strong Excel skills: accounting system experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to influence business decisions with data and structured reasoning.
