Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to serve as the Head – IT Vendor Management. This role is responsible for overseeing the entire IT vendor lifecycle, including the maintenance of complex IT contracts, managing third‑party risks, and ensuring that vendor relationships align with the organization’s strategic and operational priorities. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, contributing to a culture of operational excellence and fiscal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vendor Strategy & Framework

Design and implement a comprehensive vendor management framework that aligns with organizational goals and IT governance standards.

Champion vendor management as a tool for driving innovation and achieving customer‑centric efficiency goals.

Ensure all vendor activities adhere to IT governance frameworks and broader organizational strategies.

2. Contract & Lifecycle Management

Lead the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of IT vendors to ensure optimal cost, quality, and compliance.

Oversee the maintenance and renewal of IT contracts, specifically focusing on software licensing, hardware purchases, and cloud service agreements.

Establish and enforce structured management protocols for IT vendor processes to drive efficiency and enhance user satisfaction.

3. Performance & Relationship Management

Establish and oversee vendor performance metrics (SLAs/KPIs), conducting regular reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Foster strong relationships with key IT vendors to ensure alignment with the bank’s operational priorities.

Identify and integrate new technologies and solutions through strategic vendor partnerships.

4. Third-Party Risk & Compliance

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with third‑party vendors, including operational, financial, and compliance risks.

Collaborate with IT risk management initiatives to ensure vendor compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Ensure timely reporting of vendor‑related risks and compliance metrics to management and risk committees.

Manage IT audits related to vendor services, ensuring readiness and swift remediation of findings.

Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Legal education is required.

Industry Experience: Previous experience in Banking, Telecommunications, or Software Vendor environments is highly preferable.

Core Experience: Proven experience in vendor management, contract maintenance, and process improvement.

Specialized Experience: Extensive experience in supply chain or general vendor management is a significant plus.

Direct experience in managing Third‑Party Risk is highly desirable.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT procurement, software licensing models, and hardware lifecycle management.

Leadership: Proven track record of inspiring teams and delivering transformational results.

Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prepare and present high‑quality reports to senior leadership and board committees.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to address systemic issues and foster a culture of accountability and innovation.
