Job summary

A technology company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled hardware engineer to join their Product R&D Team. The role involves developing hardware features for the NI PXI/cRIO platform and other embedded computers, from initial research to post-release. Candidates should hold a degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and have at least 2 years of experience in digital hardware design. Qualifications

Job description

You will join NI Product R&D Team, playing a vital role in designing the next generation of cutting‑edge NI PXI/ cRIO platform and embedded computers. These systems will integrate with NI modularized instruments to enable wide arrays of test application that is critical to EV, ADAS, Aerospace, Semiconductor and Electronics industries. You will be involved throughout the product development from pathfinding research phase till post product release. You will work closely with the product architects, project managers, technical leads, engineers with various expertise to craft and implement the designs. This position involves a wide range of engineering activities such as high‑speed subsystem design, design simulation, design validation and verification, debugging circuit and system level problems.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of digital hardware design experience for Staff Level (board level design or VHDL/SystemVerilog)
  • Passionate in continuous learning and working with analog, digital, & other computer technologies
  • Proficient in signal integrity analysis and measurement techniques
  • Experience defining routing constraints for high‑speed interfaces
  • Experience in circuit design with CPU/SoC/Micro‑controller
  • Experience with engineering design tools and schematic design
  • Proficiency with standard hardware lab equipment including scopes, logic analyzers, signal generators and power supplies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Test automation expertise with scripting/programming language
  • High speed signal simulation experience
  • PCIe, USB and Thunderbolt validation experience
