Job summary

A sports retail company in Petaling Jaya seeks a Senior Manager to drive equity and strategic planning. Job description

This is a senior management level position driving the overall equity and strategic business planning for our Malaysia’s subsidiary. You provide leadership and you are responsible for the team structure and performance of the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual departmental and commercial budgets in consultation with the Head of Finance for MD’s approval.
• Analyse and achieve annual sales, gross margin and relevant KPIs and targets.
• Track and monitor monthly performance against benchmark and take action to resolve gaps and variances.
• Maximise brands presence and sales opportunity across all channels including Retail, Wholesale, Ecom, Corporate Sales and potential new channels.
• Review and fine tune current departments’ practices and processes for continuous improvements leading to a more productive work environment.
• Build the team to align with company’s core values of Passionate, Positive and Service culture.
• Oversee or manage any projects or responsibilities assigned by the MD to support ongoing business needs.
• Work closely with malls leasing and marketing teams to garner support to grow sales.

Requirements

• Degree holder with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• A good understanding of apparel or sporting goods Retail landscape in Malaysia is a strong advantage.
