A prominent coffee chain company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a General Manager to lead multi-outlet expansion. Position: General Manager – Coffee Chain (Multi-Outlet Expansion)
Mandate of the Role (Read This Carefully)
This is a growth‑critical leadership role. The General Manager will own the commercial and operational scaling of a coffee chain business, with direct accountability for multi‑outlet performance, expansion execution, and P&L results. This role is not suitable for candidates whose experience is limited to single‑outlet management or maintenance‑only roles.
Own end‑to‑end P&L across all outlets. Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost discipline. Translate business targets into operational execution.
Lead and standardise operations across all outlets. Enforce SOPs, service consistency, food safety, and brand standards. Optimise manpower structure, productivity, and scheduling.
Lead new outlet expansion from feasibility to launch. Landlord negotiations & setup coordination. Opening execution and post‑opening stabilisation. Demonstrate proven experience opening and scaling multiple outlets. Ensure new outlets achieve breakeven and performance targets within planned timelines. Build and lead Outlet Managers and Area Managers. Implement clear KPIs, performance reviews, and accountability systems. Develop internal leaders to support scale.
Ensure consistent customer experience across locations. Use customer feedback and data to drive service improvements. Partner with marketing on campaigns and product launches.
Provide structured performance reports to Directors. Flag risks early and propose data‑driven solutions. Act as the key operator between strategy and execution.
