Job description
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities.
  • Implement and review core accounting processes such as journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Find opportunities for process efficiency, standardization, and digital automation.
  • Interpret and apply accounting policies in alignment with internal controls, corporate guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Support the maintenance and strengthening of business process controls and documentation.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and legal requirements, ensuring alignment between management accounts and statutory accounts. Support regulatory reporting and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
  • Liaise with external auditors during interim and year‑end audits, providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Address queries promptly and work closely to resolve issues. Support internal audits as required.
  • Perform financial data analysis to generate insights that support operational and strategic decision‑making, using digital tools and analytics platforms.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting, reporting, and statutory processes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and governance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Operations) and external partners, applying a customer‑centric approach to financial inquiries and reporting needs.
  • Champion the adoption of digital tools and automation solutions within the accounting function to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Role Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA (fully or partially qualified) or MIA membership is preferred/required.
  • Has a relevant working experience in accounting, financial reporting, statutory accounts, or audit (Big 4 experience is an advantage).
