Game Producer

Our client is an independent games development studio founded in 2008 in the cultural heart of Southeast Asia. They are a game tech focused studio with both internal OIP (Original Intellectual Property) and external co-development tracks. They build games over multiple platforms, primarily focused on Windows Desktop PC (Unreal Engine). Their flagship game is a fully serviced, live operational, squad-based multiplayer PvP (Player-Versus-Player) 5v5 FPS (First-Person-Shooter) and RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) hybrid action combat game launched in 2021.
They provide full cycle work for hire, co-development, consulting, backend development, and virtual production support across all departments internally and externally. Currently, they have a team of 60 full-time internal developers and are growing. They are committed to developing digital interactive entertainment software with a focus on innovation and integrity, aiming to be a leading force in game development within the region.
The Responsibilities:
- Oversee full game development cycles from start to finish, including task estimation, feature delivery, and resource management to meet milestones.
- Uphold project vision and coordinate with internal and external teams to develop complex game features effectively.
- Identify potential project obstacles, communicate risks to stakeholders, and adapt project plans as needed to ensure success.
- Manage team and personal responsibilities, including challenge resolution, interpersonal skills, and effective communication of project goals and progress.
- Stay updated on industry practices and trends, advocating for optimal user experience.
The Requirements:
- Experience in Traditional and/or Agile work environments and methodologies.
- Experience with project management software (Jira, Handsoft, Gantt, etc.).
- Experience interfacing with external clients, vendors, and partners.
- Involvement in at least one full game development cycle.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Background in at least one discipline in game development.
- Proven ability to quantify goals and facilitate team collaboration.
- Ability to identify project concerns and risks proactively.
- Knowledge of typical game development cycles.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5.
- Experience in Live Operations and post-launch support for live service games.
- Knowledge of game development disciplines (design, art, code, QA, etc.).
- Relevant degrees and certifications.
- Experience working with international teams across time zones.
- Business and operational management experience.
- Experience with mobile and/or console titles.
- Formal Scrum training and certification.
Rank Requirements:
- Production Assistant / Project Coordinator: Experience in a game development discipline, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, with at least one credited game launch and 1-2 years of industry experience.
- Associate Producer / Project Manager: Ability to break down complex features into tasks, manage resources, and deliver quality products, with at least two game launches and 3-4 years of experience.
- Intermediate Game Producer: Strong product ownership skills, experience with multiple game launches, and 5-6 years of industry experience.
- Senior Game Producer: Oversight of multiple projects, budgeting, and resource management, with 5+ game launches and 6-8 years of experience.
- Lead Game Producer: Proven leadership in managing all aspects of game development from concept to delivery, with 5+ game titles and 8-10 years of experience.
