As a Customer Service Executive of Freight Forwarding at SWIFT, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and support to our valued clients. Maintain good professional working relationships and effective communication with affiliate offices, forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, partners and all internal departments. This full-time, office-based role in Butterworth, Penang, will see you playing a crucial part in the overall operations of our freight and cargo forwarding business.
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
- Monitor and coordinate import/export shipments and transport arrangement with relevant parties to ensure smooth operations and shipment implementation.
- Handle documentations and operation of sea/airfreight and end to end deliveries & customs clearance.
- Coordinate with Shipping line, Forwarding agent, customers, and internal teams on shipment requirements.
- Handle customer complaints, shipment delays, or discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to customer orders and shipments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipment inquiries, orders, and tracking updates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company directions, policies and SOPs.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned or required by immediate superior from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Possess at least SPM/STPM/Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Logistics/Warehouse Management/Supply Chain or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding customer service role.
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and regulations, freight forwarding processes, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and meet deadlines accurately.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Kursus Ejen Kastam (KEK) certificate & other custom related certificates.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (added advantage for liaising with Chinese-speaking customers).
- Possess own transport and able to work in Butterworth, Penang.
- Working Days/Hours: 8.30am to 5.30 (Mon to Fri), Offday & Restday (Sat & Sun).
