Step Into the Heart of Trade Logistics – International & Domestic

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Forwarding Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is key in supporting the smooth movement of goods across both international borders and within Malaysia. If you’re passionate about logistics, customs procedures, and want to grow in a fast-paced environment, this is the role for you.

📍 Location: Georgetown, Penang | 5-Day Week + Alternate Saturday (Half Day)

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Forwarding Assistant, you’ll be actively involved in customs brokerage support for both import/export shipments. Your role includes coordinating with various stakeholders and ensuring that all documentation and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Coordinate daily shipments – both international and domestic – and transport arrangement
  • Prepare and process customs documentation such as K1, K2, K3, K8, K9, etc.
  • Handle shipping documents like Certificates of Origin, exemptions, and permits
  • Liaise with key government bodies including MAQIS, LKIM, MTIB, MIDA, MITI, CIDB, SIRIM, and others for regulatory approvals
  • Submit import/export declarations and assist with resolving customs queries
  • Verify and check disbursement invoices from service providers for accuracy
  • Support customers with timely updates and provide professional support for inquiries or issues
  • Ensure accuracy in billing, documentation, and filing
  • Support clerical and administrative tasks and assist with any ad-hoc assignments
What You’ll Need
  • At least a Diploma from a recognized institution (Relevant experience can substitute academic requirement)
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in forwarding, customs brokerage, or logistics preferred – fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Strong proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage due our client base
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • KEK (Kursus Ejen Kastam) certification is a plus
  • Must be a Malaysian citizen and willing to work in Penang Island
