Job summary

A leading food ingredient company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Quality Control Specialist. The role involves conducting quality control activities on ingredients, products, and processes, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Candidates should have a Degree or Diploma in Food Technology/Science and preferably 1-2 years of experience in the food industry. Strong organizational skills and good command of English are essential. This position offers opportunities to support research and development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Preferably at least 1-2 years’ experience in quality control in the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality control activities on ingredients, products & processes.
  • Perform necessary QC inspection, analysis, baking test & sensory evaluation.
  • Check compliance with product specifications and control COA of materials.
  • Coordinate with Operations team on QC Sampling for internal/external tests.
  • Manage stock of QC samples and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
  • Assist in investigations of non-conformance and customer complaints.
  • Support implementation of food regulations in Malaysia and export countries.
  • Coordinate and maintain records for FSSC22000, HACCP, GMP & HALAL certifications.
  • Participate in audits and implement improvement plans.
  • Support R&D during pilot runs and quality tests for new products.
