Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Technician specializing in field joint coating, HQ located in Selangor, Malaysia. The role involves performing field joint coating applications, such as auto blasting, induction heating, anti-corrosion coatings, and infill coatings, to ensure the structural integrity and durability of pipelines. The Technician will operate advanced equipment, follow safety protocols, collaborate with team members, and maintain high-quality work standards as per company and industry guidelines. Regular inspection and maintenance of tools and adherence to project deadlines are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in field joint coating techniques, including auto blasting, induction heating, fusion bonded epoxy application, and heat shrink sleeve installation.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining coating equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of safety procedures, quality control standards, and ISO compliance in pipeline construction projects.
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, and adaptability to on-site working conditions.
• Previous experience in field joint coating or a similar role is preferred.
• Technical certification in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to go offshore (global) on a short notice.
