What is the opportunity? Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization.

Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.


What will you do?


  • Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including creating and posting journal entries to the general ledger.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including Head Office Templates.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts and preparation of monthly attestation packages.

  • Assist in producing and delivering monthly financial analytical reporting packages to support various teams.

  • Respond to internal and external auditor queries and provide support for audit inquiries.

  • Support the annual audit of consolidated financial statements, including planning and footnote disclosures compilation.

  • Perform or review reconciliations of general ledger balances and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Review intergroup reconciliations and coordinate the investigation and resolution of breaks.

  • Process vendor payments and perform bank/nostro reconciliation.

  • Contribute to an effective control environment by creating and refreshing documentation of financial reporting processes.

  • Support the Financial Control teams as needed and continuously develop knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting requirements.
