Your New Role
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to regional, Bank Negara Malaysia and other regulatory bodies.
  • Review and validate financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct analysis of financial results from both strategic and analytical perspectives
  • Manage day-to-day delivery of team services to meet specific needs of the business.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on financial matters.
  • Keeping abreast with financial and regulatory changes
  • Drive process optimisation and efficiency targets.
  • Provide financial management leadership in areas such as tax, financial reporting, and treasury management to the finance team.
  • Establish effective financial controls to protect the organisation's profits.
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and risk policies
  • Manage external and internal audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
  • Liaise with regional and group finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Other regular or ad hoc financial or regulatory reports, as required.
  • Support Head of Finance in leadership of the Finance team.
  • Supervise and mentor junior reporting staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
About You
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in insurance or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements in Malaysia.
  • Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
