A leading financial services company in Johor, Malaysia is looking for an experienced professional to lead their Finance and Accounting operations. This role will oversee compliance with financial regulations, prepare management reports, and drive budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy, at least 5 years of experience, and exceptional leadership skills. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Finance and Accounting operations. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands‑on expertise in financial management to ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and internal governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate governance policies.
Act as the key liaison with external stakeholders including bankers, auditors, tax authorities, company secretaries, and government agencies on all financial, statutory, and regulatory matters.
Prepare and present accurate and timely Monthly Management Reports for senior leadership to support informed decision‑making.
Drive the annual budgeting process, including monthly profit & loss forecasts and consolidated financial reporting for the Group.
Continuously monitor and analyse financial performance, delivering actionable insights to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
Manage the company’s cash flow, working capital requirements, and financial risks to ensure financial stability and liquidity.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of finance, accounts, and administrative staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance, Accountancy, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to regional operations.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into business insights.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision‑making skills.
Knowledge of financial practices and regulations in Southeast Asia is a plus (travelling to these countries may be required).
Ability to communicate in English, Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia will be an advantage.
Experienced candidates with a strong track record may be considered for a more senior position.
