Job Summary: Lead finance operations and implement financial strategies in a dynamic role at a growing SME in Shah Alam.

Job Overview:

The Finance Manager will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities. This role is responsible for financial planning, reporting and compliance. The Finance Manager will ensure the company’s financial health and regulatory compliance, supporting the standard of a publicly traded entity.

Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide analysis of financial results, identifying trends, variances, and performance metrics.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Manage the consolidation of financial statements and ensure proper documentation and controls.
• Assist external auditors, legal advisors, investment bankers and company secretaries to implement corporate exercises for the company.
• Assist the professionals in providing information for the announcements and circular.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee financial audit processes and address any identified risks or deficiencies.
• Manage tax planning and compliance, ensuring all filings are accurate and timely.

5. Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring liquidity and optimising working capital.
• Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and debt management.

• Professional certification such as MIA, MICPA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ICAEW.
