- Month-End Closing : Conduct month-end closing activities, including obtaining reports and posting entries.
- Journal Vouchers: Prepare and review Journal Vouchers (JVs) for month-end entries.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure Guest Ledger Balance, Clearing Accounts, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable are reconciled before month-end.
- Fees and Notifications: Establish Corporate Marketing and Management Fees, notify corporate after reporting.
- Finalization and Distribution: Finalize figures with management and distribute financial statements.
- Balance Sheet and Bank Reconciliation: Prepare and review monthly Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations.
- General Cashier Oversight: Ensure General Cashier (GC) activities and float requirements are in order.
- Accounts Payable Management: Oversee timely payments.
- Training and SOPs: Develop and use Lesson Plans & SOPs to train subordinates.
- Deadline Adherence: Observe all internal and external deadlines.
- Assistance and Oversight: Assist and oversee department sections in the absence of the Director of Finance.
- General Ledger Management: Ensure accurate recording of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit various financial reports and reconciliations to corporate and owning offices.
- Audit Supervision: Supervise Income Audit Team and review daily income reports.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Report discrepancies and suggest resolutions.
- Chart of Accounts Maintenance: Maintain chart of accounts and interface coding.
- Purchase Requisitions: Assign accounting codes for purchase requisitions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality / Accounting/ any related field.
- At least 4 years experience within the hospitality industry (Hotel), at the management / senior managementlevel.
- Good knowledge of hotel / lodge and / or resort experience.
- Excellent Communication Skills in English & Bahasa Malaysiawill be an advantage.
