A leading technology firm in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee management and statutory accounts while ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will lead a finance team, deliver monthly reporting, and act as a strategic partner to sales and marketing. A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role and hands-on expertise in SAP are required, along with a relevant degree and strong communication skills. This role presents an opportunity for significant impact within the organization.
Oversee the preparation of management and statutory accounts and ensure timely reporting to various stakeholders in compliance with Malaysia regulatory and Group reporting framework.
Lead group consolidation, statutory audits, taxation, regulatory reporting and support internal audits.
Deliver insightful monthly management reporting, conduct detailed variance analysis, explaining key drivers of business performance to senior stakeholders.
Lead the annual operating plan process, including budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure robust financial planning across all business units.
Preparation of presentation deck for quarterly business review, annual operating plan.
Act as strategic partner to sales and marketing leaders – monitoring trade promotions and marketing spending, return‑on‑investment analyses to maximise commercial outcomes.
Monitor gross margin and operating profit performance by product category, recommending targeted actions to enhance profitability across the portfolio.
Robust controls over promotional claims, trade liabilities, inventory obsolescence and accruals.
Improve data quality, speed of close and reports automation.
Identify high‑impact areas for automation and oversee end‑to‑end RPA implementation, from planning to execution.
Leverage BI, analytics and AI‑driven insights for decision support.
Lead and support finance transformation and process standardization initiatives.
Lead, coach and develop finance team and build strong cross‑functional collaboration.
Foster a culture of accountability, agility and continuous improvement.
Support succession planning and capability building.
