Job description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our finance operations.

You will bring a strong foundation of accounting and finance expertise, with over 10 years of progressive experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within multinational, manufacturing, or factory operations environments.

You are known for your high integrity, attention to detail, and ability to drive change and efficiency. Your leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills combined with effective communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities will be key in steering the finance team toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations: Lead and oversee the finance team managing day-to-day operations across multiple entities, including financial and management reporting, statutory compliance, taxation, cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.

Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements, as well as monthly reporting packages to Regional HQ (RHQ).

Audit & Taxation: Manage year-end statutory audits, liaise with external auditors, and ensure compliance with tax regulations (corporate income tax, SST, property tax). Handle transfer pricing documentation and respond to tax authority queries.

Business Partnering: Collaborate with Business Unit Heads and Operations teams to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide financial insights to drive operational efficiency, cost control, and business performance.

Regional Collaboration: Work closely with RHQ finance teams to align local and regional financial strategies, driving growth and ensuring consistency in reporting and governance.

Budget Monitoring: Oversee financial and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets, ensuring adherence to targets and proactive variance analysis.

Team Development: Mentor and develop finance team members to ensure high performance, accuracy, and professional growth. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Ad Hoc Projects: Undertake additional assignments or projects as required by management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) highly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record in multinational or manufacturing/factory operations environments.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-entity consolidation, IFRS, Malaysian Accounting Standards (MFRS), and local tax regulations.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken) is essential to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.
