Job summary

A leading design firm in Puchong, Malaysia, is looking for a Finance Manager to oversee all financial activities, including reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, with at least 5 years of relevant experience, including managerial roles. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and proficiency in financial software such as AutoCount and Microsoft Excel are essential. Candidates must also be able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin/Cantonese.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting activities, including month‑end and year‑end closing, reporting, and statutory audits.
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxation (SST, WHT, corporate tax), audit, and regulatory filings.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management for decision‑making.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury, and working capital management.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, and regulatory authorities.
• Support business growth by providing strategic financial input on projects and investments.
• Lead and mentor the finance team to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting, Malaysian taxation, and compliance.
• Knowledge in AutoCount, Microsoft Excel and other related software.
