Job summary

A leading property management company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to supervise daily operations, ensure compliance with accounting procedures, and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in accounting, preferably be an MIA member, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience, particularly in mall operations or property investment. This role is critical in coordinating audits and ensuring timely financial compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor subordinates and ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
• Prepare timely financial management reports.
• Coordinate and prepare budget and cash flows.

• Liaison with auditors for yearly audits.

Job description

To monitor and supervise subordinates on day to day and ensure compliance of accounting procedures and proper accounting record are kept up to-date.

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial management reports.

To prepare financial reports and analysis for meetings.

To coordinate and prepare budget, cash flows and other related reports

To check and review accounting transactions prepared by subordinates.

To check and verify all payment prepared by subordinates and ensure timely payment of those which are crucial.

Liaison and coordinating with Auditor and subordinates in managing the yearly audit.

Ensure tax compliance and liaison with Tax agent and subordinates on managing the taxation of the companies assigned.

Attend internal and external meeting as and when required.

To assist on other related accounting and treasury functions if required.

REQUIREMENT

Minimum Degree in Accounting or equivalent

Preferably MIA member

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in related field

Experienced in mall operations, tenants' management or property investment industry will be an added advantage

Well versed with SST, E-Invoicing and other statutory compliance
